BANK HUNTING
i recquee for my bank term deposit potential. these banks r located w/i 100meter circumference fr my gp clinic: hsbc, st george, westpac, 2 commonwealth, bankwest.etc. Laiki is in st george. at the mean time i ask my friends in related field for advice.
my conclusion is that
-bankwest offers the best deal (but i have to b australian citizen, hate the feeling of not belonging anywhere all the time)
-rabobank - the one with interesting commercial, recommend by my commerce friend as well
has the second best rate
-then it's laiki
the other more well established non-online banks are more or less the same.
so i took on rabo and my long fren- commonwealthbank. rabo has an interesting password system. you get your password from this calculator look alike gadget, everytime you get different combination.
rabo it's because it has a high interest rate ( 7.9% for almost one month , 7.3 normally), i know it's less reliable than commbank (7.0%) but i shall give it a try short termly.
